Mary Sue Gladden, Chesapeake Bay Skipjack Expert!!!

Captain John Price had sailed a brilliant race up to the point when we capsized.  He had maneuvered the Ida May from the back of the pack into first place with only one last short tack to make it into the finish line.  Wadie Murphy's Rebecca Ruark was breathing down our necks and it was going to be a photo finish!!!  The Captain put her broadside into the wind and we picked up speed in preparation for going about.  The next thing we knew we were capsized and splashing around in the water.  Gordon Gladden dislocated his shoulder but luckily we were close to the hospital and Dorchester General snapped it back into socket for him.  We were extremely lucky that no one else got hurt.  It was quite an adventure and we hope that someday we will be able to look back and laugh about it.  After many tries, we finally raised her up and tomorrow morning we will pump the water out of the hold.  Thanks to everyone who came to our rescue!!!
