Dredging Oysters on the Skipjack Ida May: 12/14/1991 Part 1

Gordon Gladden escorts friends and family on a day of dredging on the Skipjack Ida May. The Captain is Bobby Leath. Thanks to Dick Barr, who did the videotaping. The footage is from 1991 and the evidence of Dermo and MSX devastating the Tangier Sound oyster beds is evident. Also of note is that major reconstruction work on the Ida May had been finished just a few months previous and that this was her first season back out on the water and under sail.
